Thalaiva, a tamil typeface having combination of bold lines, rounded edges, and boxy shapes, giving it a very assertive feel.

This typeface was developed as a part of 2-Week Type Design Course, as a group with Ira Chokhawala and Shravani Patil, under the guidance of Parimal Parmar and Tarun Deep Girdher

Inspired from a Devanagri Typeface discovered on a typewalk in the pols of old Ahmedabad

Being completely unfamiliar with the Tamil script, we had the advantage of looking at letters as mere shapes.
